Standard AI Expands Executive Team with Seasoned AI, Retail and Operations Leaders

October 5, 2021

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. — October 5, 2021 — Standard AI, the world’s leading computer vision platform for retail, today announced the addition of Jennifer Haroon as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Angie Westbrock as Chief Operating Officer (COO) to its executive team. Both bring extensive experience developing and scaling companies to Standard, with a strong focus on computer vision, artificial intelligence (AI), and retail and consumer packaged goods. Haroon and Westbrock will oversee the company’s financial and operations functions, respectively, to help bring Standard’s autonomous checkout solution to more retail stores around the world.

“Jennifer and Angie have unique and important experience in building and scaling autonomous technology companies,” said Jordan Fisher, co-founder and CEO of Standard. “They will be an integral part of bringing our computer vision platform to more retail stores around the world.”

Haroon brings experience in finance, data analytics, business operations, business development and more to Standard. She joins the company from Nauto, an AI and computer vision driver and fleet safety platform for collision avoidance, where she was COO and served as interim CFO. Prior to Nauto, Haroon was Head of Business Operations at Waymo, developing the business and financial model and go-to-market activities for the autonomous driving company.

“Computer vision is the future of retail, and Standard has the opportunity to redefine how people shop,” said Haroon. “I look forward to building an engine at Standard that supports our growth and establishes us as one of the world’s premiere computer vision companies.”

Westbrock has led operations for companies at every stage, from startups to global businesses. She specializes in aligning teams, culture and business operations to support rapid growth. Westbrock joins Standard from Lyft where she was VP of Global Operations and oversaw more than 600 field team members in cities across the U.S. and Canada. Prior to Lyft, she was COO at the personalized nutrition company Habit, and launched West Operations at meal kit delivery company HelloFresh. Westbrock is also a founding member of Chief, a private network built to drive more women into leadership positions.

“I’m passionate about working with technology that improves how we live,” said Westbrock. “Standard’s computer vision platform removes the friction from shopping while providing insights and tools to problem-solve in today’s ever-changing retail environment. By building the right processes and focusing on rapid and repeatable execution, we can scale our technology to retailers globally and completely transform the way people shop.”

“As Standard prepares to announce additional partnerships which will bring autonomous checkout to more communities around the globe, filling these pivotal roles provides a firm foundation for growth,” said Fisher. “Standard is poised to redefine retail with computer vision technology, and Jennifer and Angie are critical ingredients to scale our work and make that possible.”
